  1. Beth, I loved this article! It’s really sad how many people live without hope these days. For sure the world can be a tough place to live, but Tip #6 is a definite key – look for it! (That was my favorite tip by the way.)

I love that you defined hope. I think that many people look at hope as a wish or a dream that is sometimes out of their control. However, hope is an actual EXPECATION that good things can happen and come your way. To me, hope is controlled effort on my part. Thanks for sharing your optimism!

  2. This really resonates with me. Most of the time, I’m able to see things “glass half full.” I pride myself on being able to endure frustrating situations by finding things I can enjoy, and after reading this its like I created my own hope. But the times when i’m unable to do that are when I get really down, and this article explains why! I also like what you said about “the more you look for something, the more you will find it.” When I focus on the negative things in life, its all I see. Focusing on the positive and finding hope is a practice. Thanks for the great post.

Wow Allison, thanks!! You’re words are so sweet and encouraging! I really appreciate how you are so real and honest, I think many of us can see things with the “glass half full,” yet still struggle with finding hope. I started writing this at a time when I was how important hope was in my life! #6 Hope Tip is probably my favorite, too!
