I am a counselor intern getting my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I provide play therapy, individual therapy, and parent-child relationship/filial therapy in response to identified client needs. Some areas of focus include anger, anxiety, behavioral concerns, depression, divorce, emotional disturbance, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, and abuse. I specialize in working with children (ages 3 and up), adolescents, and adults. I also specialize in sandtray therapy. People seek counseling for a wide variety of reasons. Reasons can include coping with major life challenges or experienced trauma, managing depression or anxiety, or simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge. Counseling provides a safe place to work through these feelings and issues, and in time, both children and adults emerge more resilient and better equipped with new coping skills.
