About me

Some of the biggest challenges in our lives are the catalysts that will introduce change and growth. I know firsthand that this can be scary, but you do not have to go through it alone.

My goal as a counselor is to encourage you as you embark on your journey of healing and self-discovery. I believe that my clients are the experts on their lives, and it is my job to help them work towards their goals.

I bring enthusiasm, acceptance, compassion, and curiosity to each session. As a former teacher, I enjoy educating my clients and learning from them, too. You will learn about your strengths and ability to create change in your life. I invite you to show up, exactly as you are. Share and explore your inner world in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

My orientation to counseling includes CBT, Gestalt, person-centered, and existential. I use a variety of modalities and interventions that best fit each individual client in order for them to get the most out of their sessions.

Areas of focus: Play (ages 3 and up), Parent-Child Relationships, Filial Therapy, Grief, Divorce, Life Transitions, and Substance Abuse

Fun fact: I am a serial hobbyist that enjoys spending my time painting, quilting, gaming, scrapbooking, tie-dying, reading, bird-watching, cooking, and traveling.

"Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone."- Fred Rogers
