Moore Wellness: Organizational Policies

Grievance Policy

Moore Wellness (MW) & Holistic Sandtray Institute (HSI) welcomes feedback and the opportunity to addresses program participant grievances. Grievances, continuing education approvals, refunds, and any other questions or concerns should be directed to Beth Moore and the Moore Wellness team at hello@moorewellness.life.

Any grievances are discussed at a monthly team meeting of MW senior leadership, following the receipt of such a request. The MW team will respond to such requests within five business days of coming to a decision regarding that grievance.

Participants also have a right to issue a complaint with any of the continuing education approval sources connected to our trainings if you feel your rights as a learner have been violated or disrespected. These include but are not limited to the American Psychological Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association of Social Work Boards, Association of Play Therapy, and the International Association of Sandtray Therapy. We hope we can arrive at a mutually agreeable solution.

Refund Policy

ICST PROGRAMS:

Payments made within the first 30 days of enrollment are fully refundable less a 5% processing fee.

If refunds are requested after the first 30 days after initial purchase, all monies paid will be credited towards future training with the facility. 

ALL OTHER TRAINING PROGRAMS: 

Refunds are available until 30-days prior to the date of the training, less a 5% processing fee.

If refunds are requested after this 30-day window, payment will be credited towards future training with the facility. 

Exceptions for Refunds

Only medically documented reasons or family deaths are considered as an exception to this policy.

No-shows are not eligible for a refund. In the case of inclement weather, should we cancel the training, your registration would simply be moved to our rescheduled date. If the rescheduled date isn’t available for you, we can offer you another date or issue a refund.

If you terminate your training or need to leave it early for any reason, you are not eligible for a refund.

Attendance at the entire training is required for our program to remain compliant with CE organizational standards. All other situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Moore Wellness: Online Training Policies

By Registering For a Moore Wellness Training, You Acknowledge And Agree To The Following:

My presence at the entire training is required, all sessions, on video as an attendance verification. No partial credit can be awarded.

Holistic Sandtray Institute, LLC is a part of Moore Wellness, LLC.

Technological Requirements:

Attendance at all live sessions on the indicated dates is mandatory for the completion of this course. These live lecture and practicum sessions will be hosted by the video conferencing platform Zoom. Links for joining these live sessions via zoom are included in the course portals. These links will prompt you to download the Zoom software if you have not already done so, and will then connect you to the session. Please plan on joining a few minutes early for troubleshooting if you are not already familiar with the Zoom platform. By registering for these trainings, you acknowledge that you meet the technical requirements needed to participate.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

By registering for these trainings, you acknowledge you have read and agree to Moore Wellness’ Organizational Policies, which stipulate the terms for refunds and cancellations.

Consultation:

Any required consultation hours are not included in the cost of online training. Exceptions include online courses that include consultation as part of the training.

Professionalism:

I acknowledge that I will show up on time and be fully present for each session, reaching out to my faculty member or any assistants if any unexpected problems arise. Staying present for online learning can come with its unique set of challenges, and I agree to take full responsibility for addressing my needs in the area of grounding and self-care during the training. I agree to refrain from all alcohol and illicit drug use during the training and agree to speak with my faculty member or an assistant if I anticipate that my impairment due to prescribed medications might pose a problem during the training. The faculty and staff reserve the right to remove trainees at any time if trainee impairment creates an unsafe environment for myself or for other trainees.

Doing Your Own Work:

Throughout the training, I, as the participant in training, will be expected to participate in a working practicum experience in the role of therapist, client, and observer. This means that I will be expected to do a small piece of my own, authentic clinical work. If I am currently in counseling or being treated for a mental health condition, it is recommended that I speak with my provider, alerting them that I am participating in the training. If I’ve received a major mental health diagnosis (past or present), I acknowledge that I am taking this training and engaging in this practicum at my own risk and that I will alert faculty or training staff before or during the training if any complications arise. I acknowledge that everyone taking part in the practicum experience is either new to Sandtray therapy or is learning more as fellow clinicians learning alongside me and I agree to keep the space as safe as possible for all involved. If any problems arise, I agree to address them with faculty or staff members.
